Bitter

The special part of you

That gleamed for miles

Is now gone

Like a burnt out star

Only dust remains

That is scattered

Onto almost everything

But not me

I brushed it off

And threw it away

With all of your baggage

That wasn’t worth carrying

Any longer

Like a light switch

I flicked you off

And that was all

You’re alone now

You and everything you stood for

Wondering what to do

And where to go

Without the light

You had beaming out

Darkness consumes you

And maybe as you crumble

You think the silence

Is breaking you

But you stood for nothing

And that is what is left
