Secrets

Finding new ways
Never thought of before
To hold these secrets
Closer to his heart
Than love itself
Knowing morally
It's not only wrong
It makes no sense
But it must continue
To stay hidden
And alone
In the self created cage
Where typical rules
From strip clubs apply
Look but don't touch
Agony of guilt
Pierces like a twisting dagger
Yet it doesn't matter
This will continue
Until a decision is made
To keep or break
The promises
In exchange
For the secrets

Intense subject matter for this poem. It has a intimate cofessional tone to it that makes it seem to come from a vey personal place.

I see you changed the look of your blog. I like it. It seems easier to read. I added you under the recently updated blogs at PWB (your blog will stay there a few days, till the next update.)

Happy Holidays, Chris, to you and your family.

"To keep or break the promises in exchange for the secrets"...that level of authenticity takes so much courage. Thanks for sharing your work.
