One Deep Breath 12/3 Container

Just a container
Covered with an air tight lid
All that's left of him

The black and white jar
A cow head for a handle
Stores all the cookies

These are great - the first one gave me a start, hate thinking about stuff like that :) and the second one made me giggle, I've seen cookie jars like that! Nice stuff!

This stops to make me think of the way we use similar containers to store the remains of loved ones and cookies. We are a funny bunch, we humans.

The contrast between the two containers makes the haikus even more stricking.

the first really made me pause...& after that i appreciated the levity of the second!

The first one is very intense. It gives me shivers. I would suggest putting titles on them so you can clearly see they are two different poems.
