Just a Day

In just a day
It can all change
Aggravation and angst
To smiles and laughter
With no real solution needed
Except the unnoticed unconscious
Doing its work in synapses
And other activity we can't fathom
During a dream
About nothing in particular
That matters
Sleep seems the ultimate cure
For all that ails me
The relaxation digests the past
So it is not repeated immediately
And shines hope
On what may be
An otherwise dreary day

I love this - it is pure vintage CWC! Especially the last 5 lines - very good. I am so glad you are back at it. I have missed having your poetry to look forward to reading every day.

Coloring outside the lines...
a thought brought home by this poem. Nice!

My favorite line is "with no real solution needed." I can so relate to that. Sometimes our greatest power is to outlive, outlast. Enjoyable read.

Good to read you again, Chris. I went through most of your poems in this page. I liked reading those.

Keep writing.
