Unheard Voice

Sometimes
When he starts to hear
The same repetitious reassurance
That he gives people
When he doesn’t care
It becomes apparent
He has said this so many times
And so many ways
That the whole world
Has become deaf to it
Having a live camera
Streaming to the web
And to every station
Around the world
Screaming it
While on fire
Still would reach no one
Only then does he know
