Bodies of Water

How I always seem to check this site Monday Morning and then later it says it was posted on Sunday is confusing to me...but anyway. Here is my contribrtion for One Deep Breath.

Spashing waves of salt
Tasting of the polution
That we dump in it

Cast line gets a tug
A beautiful fish reeled in
Released back to lake

In the pool again
My cannonball spashes all
Frowning faces stare

Chris, you got your point across in the first one! The last one made me smile, I wrote about cannonballs recently, your poem made me smile!

I like how you transition from different types of waters. The pool one made me laugh.

i agree with the above comments, how the seamless the transitions were from the different types.

the first one is powerful in how it is both moving and thought evoking.

in the second poem, the gentle beauty in the act of releasing a fish back to the lake is heart tugging. wonderful :)

and finally, the cannonball is such a wonderful image that reminds me of my summer childhood, made me smile.
