Different Route

Today I left for work
And as always
I had choices
I turned right
Instead of the usual left
Left looked so busy
And in this case
Hindsight was perfect
An extra hour
Cooped up in my car
Bumper to bumper
For my stupid choice
My immediate gratification
Every time I go right
This happens
I keep thinking
It can't rain all the time
One day it will be quick
But that day has not arrived
My curiosity
Is willing me
On the wrong side
Of the bridge

Ha ha! You were stuck and I was on time! Shopping with me was your punishment for doubting the road to 40. :-)

If you don't take the risk you'll never know :)

Joy- Please don't encourage her-she is a stinker. Thanks for coming by and reading and I love your analysis-maybe that's why I did it my way-I wasn't sure about either one.

This is a terrific poem - I have a thing about always going left rather than right (the latter reminds me of the right wingers). I especially like your last bit "...my curiosity is willing me on the wrong side of the bridge."

From your poem I knew you were liberal but that whole turning right reminds you of right wingers is funny Paris.
