Another time
Another place
Another life
And maybe
I could have stayed
In the room
When you walked in
But it was too hard
Especially right now
It almost really happened
All that I have been waiting for
The tears streaming
Blurring my makeup
Taking away this rock hard exterior
Exposing me
Yet I turned
And took the easy path
Out the door
And just pretended
