A sad but true story
Although not the love
Of my life
One along the way
Had the smell
The perfect perfume
That one scent that spoke to me
A reminder perhaps of what I had and lost
I can't say for sure
But that was not the intention
Only to create the best relationship
And that piece of Heaven had to be a part
Many new flavors have emerged
Showing how I confused good memory
With a tangible item
But I don't regret
If only to remember
