Silent Nights

He goes to sleep
Like a rock
No notion of movement
Such dreams
All forgotten
By the time the routine begins
Yesterday's thoughts
Still overflowing
Too much
For one person to handle
These feelings
One thing he could not promise
To get rid of
The guilt piles up
Like strong river currents
Beating against the dam
Trying to make him give in
To those desires
That have no place
There isn't space
Yet all he sees
Is her face
Silently laughing
Like another dream
But this is real
Staying grounded
Not impossible
Just a struggle

I felt deep sadness and acceptance of it, here in this poem.

Ah, but what a wise, moment!

It is a struggle, until you let go of all those accumulated moments and live with each new one in turn.

Moments of letting go is definitely the toughest... but let go we must in order to move on.
Thank you.
