Although I am a movie buff, I don't quote a lot. I am just gonna name parts of movies I enjoy and 13 is my lucky number so...
1. Well just today I was thinking about Top Gun and how the instructor had lost that loving feeling at the beginning. I am not a big Cruise fan right now but I loved him before the religion thing came out.
2. Also loved Days of Thunder and many scenes including how to draft a car on Nicole Kidman's leg to victory road and the ending with "Do you think you can walk?" "Where to?" "Victory Lane of Course?" "Walk?, Hell I'll race your ass" and off to the sunset they go.
3. All of David Bowie's songs in Labyrinth. "You remind me of the babe, What babe?, The babe with the power, What power?, The power of Voodoo, Who Do?, You do, What?, Remind me of the babe."
4. Again Tom Cruise in Legend back in the day when he first started. That whole movie but especially the dance with the girl and the devil. Remembering "Can I touch it, just once?"
5. I love Japanimation so Ninja Scroll, Akira, and X can be tied here with Vampire D:Bloodlust. Something about a man talking to his hand, along with girls who can kill with sex or kisses, a giant mutant, and swords just gets me.
6. What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams is just flat out a masterpiece.
7. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for having the highest re-watch value of any movie I own. I can't escape it on HBO and I love it each and every time. Easy line "Voldamort, he's back!"
8. American Beauty who doesn't love this movie. A middle aged guy going through a life crisis with weed, teenage girls, and dying happy. Perfect!
9. Almost Famous- The way it was back when music really mattered, and the scene with the tripping and the guy jumping off the roof into the pool-AWESOME!
10. The Butterfly Effect- Premise of the movie and how everything would change. First time travel type movie where they got it right.
11. Lost in Translation- Such a beautiful chunk of life story. Finally we could take Bill Murray seriously and Scarlett Johanson's breakthrough role. I hated that scene where he was sleeping with the lounge singer but loved when they were doing karaoke.
12. Kill Bill- Little Ninja Girl with the chain and spike, need I say more. Many awesome quotes in this movie but the scenes were more important. Loved seeing Daryll Hanah as a bad guy with no eyes.
13. Donnie Darko- Concept of time travel once again, but just so damn strange. The freaking bunny! I want that suit for Halloween even if I am 28,
14. And for good measure my Favorite Movie of all time as my name and quotes on my site imply, A Clockwork Orange. Hell anything that Kubrick turned into a movie was a masterpiece. The quote "Full Metal Jacket" made Vincent DiOnofrio who is now your main cop in Law and Order, the other Chris one is from the HBO series OZ. "Here's Johnny" or "RedRum" in The Shining and everything HAL says in 2001.
