Slow Motion
The lack of effort
Put forth
Reminds me
Of how much it doesn’t matter
Just another activity
To kill time
Wasting away each day
Minutes after minute
Until the stars align
And the decisions made
Are exactly what is desired
Then the smile comes back
And the day is good
Until one disagreement
Even a slight infraction
Then the smile disappears
As does the effort
