Quadruple Crap +1

If I only could remember the term for five... today I tried to follow some poetic forms knowing in advance my muse, inspiration, emotions, whatever the hell you want to call them were not where they needed to be. I ended up with this stuff. This is my explanation as to why I just do free verse.

Terza Rima

As I stared up at the moon

The thoughts that filled me were serene

Whistling to myself a tune

The night so dark I saw no green

Yet I stared up with delight

Rigid, though filled from the caffeine

My eyes dilated at the sight

Absorbing all the energy

That seemed to come from the twilight

I have had such curiosity

Since childhood about this sphere

That orbits with consistency

So I continue gazing to the atmosphere

To make sure it does not disappear

Rhyme Royal

I think the absence

Of a warrantee

Is no coincidence

Just plan cruelty

And I hope you will agree

Life could be continual

Yet tends to end in funeral

Canopus

Why does she overreact

From such a silly argument

The subject was completely abstract

It deserves no acknowledgment

Sometimes one must beg and plea

Or just be obedient

Where is there a referee

Ottova Rima

I hope that this one is sincere

And ends up semi-permanent

I pray that I am in the clear

And that I stay so confident

Please God, let nothing interfere

Needing no more embarrassment

Maybe things stay up in the air

When people are having an affair

Sonnet-this was really bad

There was a man that ran up to the tree

He was not by far the first criminal

To escape the eyes of the general

He grabbed hold and climbed until he could see

Hoping he could fulfill the prophesy

The view he got was almost minimal

Yet what he saw made him less cynical

So down to walk the path to set him free

He had some speed and this was a clear fact

But it might not make any difference

For now he had to move with so much tact

Chased knowing that death was the consequence

He managed to avoid the great attack

By crossing to a new side of the fence
