All I need is a warm place
Although the flicker
Of furious flames dancing is nice
Just the heat will do
The rain doesn’t bother me
Droplets dripping down
My weathered wet face
Forming puddles at my feet
The lack of shelter isn’t bad
Even the pesky insects
Pushing their proboscis
Into my skin to take my blood
Not much of a bother
Or the pressure of people
Pushing and forcing their way
Into the middle of the circle
Formed around the fire
In this constant shuffling dance
Where no one wins
But those who are claustrophobic
Freeze to death on the cold nights
