She walked in the spring
The day after a strong storm
And gathered newly budded flowers
During the bright sunlit day hours
Flattering out the petals
In between bible pages
As if she knew no better
Just a heavy book she didn't read
When she entered the room
It was as if the thermostat had broken
Wind forcing down the temperature
Until it was a walk in freezer
She truly was cold blooded
The blue around her eyes
Told stories of insufferable pain
And how her tears were put on ice
Pale expression so serious
Always facing forward
Intimidation at just a glance
It was meant to hurt
