Why tell this lie
Last week it was truth
And nothing happened
The offense then much greater
Than a minor eruption
That you handled on your own
But you lie now
My blood boils
Knowing the truth
An absolute
Or is it
Witnessed without question
When compared with your omission
Of what I thought happened
A very important detail
Again questioned a second time
Much more specifically
To ensure
No silly phrases about just leaving it out
But not lying
Would be your response
You wavered not
My disappointment now exponential
Because I think we both know
Most agreements made
You only intend to follow for five minutes
If reminded you explode
I tire of this body armor
To stay safe
Just keeping my mouth shut
And dropping it
Again
And glad I did
You were telling the truth
And I was wrong
